About Us

Welcome to John Perry Primary School’s website

I hope you will find that this site helps you to understand how John Perry works and what we are all about. I am the Head Teacher and I, together with my team, lead the school. John Perry is an expanding three form entry school in Barking and Dagenham, which serves a culturally diverse community. We embrace community cohesion and work well to establish strong, positive relationships with parents, carers and families. Working in partnership with other schools, we drive forward improvements for children in our local community.

At John Perry, we strive to ensure that every child succeeds to the best of their ability. We provide all of our children with a broad and balanced education, which fosters a love of learning for life. We encourage children to nurture their gifts and talents through a stimulating curriculum and a range of enrichment activities. We have a dynamic team of staff who model exemplary practice across all areas of the school. Our children are provided with outstanding role models. We take pride in educating and nurturing each child, enabling them to achieve high standards of academic attainment whilst also enabling them to become capable, caring and confident human beings.

I am extremely proud of the strong school ethos that underpins all that we do in school. The school is in an exciting place and this is reflected in our new website.
By navigating through our website, you will have all of the information you need about our school.

We look forward to your feedback.

Mr Wayne Pedro
Head Teacher

OFSTED 2014

COMMENT FROM OFSTED

“Literacy and mathematical skills are taught well across the school. Teachers use questioning effectively to develop pupils’ learning. In particular, it is used well to extend the vocabulary of those pupils at the early stages of learning English.”
